The Purpose of The Peaceful Family Fund

The Peaceful Family Fund was established in 2018 to assist eligible Jewish families with expenses related to the long-term treatment of behavioral and psychiatric issues in adolescents ages 8-18. It is a partnership that began with the founder and the funder, the Blue Dove Foundation and Jewish Interest-Free Loan of Atlanta. in 2023 the program transitioned from the Blue Dove Foundation to Jewish Family and Career Services Atlanta to offer additional family services and support through the Horwitz-Zusman Child & Family Staff.

Mental healthcare is a necessity, but it can be extremely expensive. High costs can pose a barrier to access and keep children from receiving much-needed treatment. The Peaceful Family Fund exists to help families who are the most in need. Our grants and interest-free loans provide each accepted family with up to $50,000 towards their child’s in-patient treatment and step-down programs during their qualifying years. Our goal is to help children reintegrate back into their home lives when the time comes.
