Objectives

  • To provide clinicians who care for pediatric and adolescent patients the knowledge needed to identify those who may be suffering from complex psychiatric conditions
  • To foster a community of collaboration and drive forward the practices of proactive management of these cases, including interdisciplinary collaboration
  • To provide these professionals and physicians with an overview of clinical signs that should prompt investigation of common diagnoses beyond their “top symptoms, ” along with clinical pearls for proactive management and appropriate referral

Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of social workers, pediatricians, therapists, and any other mental health professionals involved in the care of children.

Continuing Education – up to 8 credits being offered

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Medical Education Resources (MER) and xMedica.
